Daily Routine
"Daily Routine" is a short movie realised with the help of Fameus and Kavka during Gast Lockdown edition last summer.
This piece is about questions that multicultural mixed people often ask themselves, questioning their sense of belonging with my mixed cultural identity. There are questions we probably will never have an answer to, because every cultural matter is personal.

The video is written, produced and edited by Olivia Lopez Calderon. In Daily Routine we follow her stream of thought about her family, her identity, communication, privilege and the future. Anybody with a mixed cultural background has objects or even behaviours and memories that connect them to the different cultures that are part of them. Language, stereotypes, traditions, food all bring a sense of belonging to a certain place or time. Community is based on these concepts, but the question of "where do I belong?" arises when some of the typical elements of your community aren't necessarily part of your own life.
